Epson Genuine Dye Ink

Unlike other Epson ColorWorks label printers that use pigment-based ink for more durable label applications, the Epson ColorWorks D3800 uses Epson Genuine Dye Ink to produce vibrant, saturated colors, rich blacks, smooth gradations and an exceptionally wide color gamut. This makes the Epson D3800 a strong fit for visitor badges, marketing labels, premium promotional labels, seasonal product labels and other short-run applications where bright, eye-catching color is the priority. However, dye ink is not designed for the same level of environmental durability as pigment-based ink, so the D3800 is not recommended for labels that require exposure to moisture, chemicals, abrasion, sunlight, outdoor conditions or BS5609-certified durability.
